The BABELMAKE story: an engineer reviewing a circuit board, factory quality control, and delivery routes spanning the globe

From the factory floor to your doorstep

Hi, I'm Jack — the founder of BABELMAKE. I've been writing code for about ten years, but it's been fifteen since I left university, and those first few years weren't spent in an office.

I started working the week after graduation: sales and promotion gigs, shelf-stocking as a supermarket promoter, then years on the floor of electronics factories. It wasn't a glamorous start, but it taught me the two things most gadget brands skip — how products are actually made, and how easily quality slips when nobody is watching the line.

Later I taught myself to program and moved into cross-border e-commerce, building and running independent online stores. That's where the other half of the picture came together: technology on one side, operations on the other — and in the middle, a stubborn observation. People everywhere were paying brand markups for products whose real cost was a fraction of the price tag.

Our factory is in Shenzhen, China — the heart of the world's electronics supply chain. In 2026 I founded BABELMAKE to put that position to work: we go straight to the workshops I already know, apply the quality-control habits I picked up on the factory floor, and ship well-made, honestly priced electronics from Shenzhen to customers around the world.

I'm still a programmer at heart, and a picky customer by habit. Every product on this store is something I would keep on my own desk — that's the whole standard.

What we stand for

  • Straight from the source — our factory is in Shenzhen, and we buy directly from the workshops that build our products. No trading-company layers, no rebranded catalog filler.
  • Tested, not just listed — every product passes our own checks before it goes on sale: real battery life, real noise levels, real build quality.
  • Priced for the product, not the logo — fair factory pricing, honest specs, and no marketing tax.

That's the story. The rest is on the shelf — have a look around and judge for yourself.
